we have some similar experiences when it come to having a chinese for a father but mine is just a step father though he's not alcoholic he's an addicted gambler and wastes my mom's earning.my mom works while he feasts himself in her earning to gamble and have alot of mistresses going into our home.i got beaten up and misunderstood for alot of reasons.he's a bum still he's like a leech who sucks the life out of us.im the elder sister and i only have a 13th yr. old sister,she too got beaten up the same sad way....i'd feel the same way i'd feel if i saw my younger sister got beaten up.id shield her and i get all the blows until he gets tired of whacking,i almost killed the bastard when i got a big chopping knife that was the last time he ever thought of raising his hands on me or my sister.
